About Freedom Furniture
About Freedom Furniture
Freedom Furniture is one of Australia’s most recognised homewares and furniture retailers, with stores across the country and a loyal customer base built over more than four decades. Since 1981, the brand has been a household name for Australians furnishing their homes with quality sofas, furniture, rugs, and homewares.
With a strong national presence and a marketing operation run from Sydney, Freedom maintains consistent brand standards across every touchpoint, from in-store experience through to digital channels and seasonal catalogue launches.
The Challenge
A National Brand. A Local Shoot. Zero Compromises.
Freedom Furniture is one of Australia’s most recognised homewares and furniture retailers, with stores across the country and a loyal customer base that expects polished, lifestyle-forward visual content at every touchpoint.
When it came time to refresh their seasonal catalogue and update team member imagery for their Western Australian store, Freedom needed a local production partner who could execute to national brand standards, without the cost or complexity of flying a crew from the east coast.
Perth Digital Edge was brought in to deliver a single-day content sprint covering both team portrait photography and product/lifestyle imagery, ready to feed directly into Freedom’s upcoming catalogue and digital channels.

The Solution
National Standards, Local Execution
Coordinating a professional content shoot for a nationally recognised brand from Sydney presented a real logistical challenge. Freedom’s marketing team needed high-quality photography for their new season catalogue launch, covering both curated product scenes and individual team member portraits, but managing a remote shoot without boots on the ground carries risk.
The brief called for imagery that matched Freedom’s existing brand aesthetic: warm, aspirational, and lifestyle-led. Every frame needed to be catalogue-ready, with no room for reshoots or missed moments.
They needed someone local they could trust to interpret the brief, manage the shoot independently, and deliver polished assets fast, as if their own team had been there.
The Result
Exactly What Was Asked For. Delivered.
The shoot wrapped on schedule with over 180 final assets delivered across both briefs. Freedom’s marketing team received catalogue-ready product imagery and polished team portraits, all within 48 hours of the shoot day.
The Sydney team didn’t need to set foot in Perth. Perth Digital Edge handled everything on the ground: briefing, styling direction, talent coordination, and post-production, exactly as a trusted in-house photographer would.
