Case Study
Inception Video
A Perth videography business serving two completely different markets — weddings and corporate — needed a website that could speak to both without compromising either. We built a custom design with segregated audience experiences, a secure client portal for permanent online video access, and trained the owner to manage it all independently on WordPress.

About Inception Video
Perth Videography Serving Two Markets That Could Not Be More Different.
Inception Video is a Perth and WA videography business operating across two distinct markets — weddings and corporate production. On one side: couples looking for emotional, cinematic coverage of one of the most personal days of their lives. On the other: businesses and organisations that need polished, professional video content that reflects their brand with precision. Both are competitive markets. Both require a different tone, a different visual language, and a completely different pitch. And until this project, a neglected website that was doing neither audience any favours.

The Challenge
One Website. Two Completely Different Clients. Neither Can Feel Like an Afterthought.
The challenge with a dual-market business like Inception Video is that the instinct to compromise — to find a middle tone that vaguely suits both audiences — produces a website that connects with neither. A bride researching wedding videographers is in an emotional headspace looking for warmth, personal storytelling, and visual romance. A marketing manager evaluating corporate video suppliers wants confidence, professionalism, and evidence of capability. If the site reads like a wedding brochure, the corporate lead is gone. If it reads like a B2B pitch, the wedding enquiry never happens.
On top of the audience segregation problem, the site needed a custom client portal — a secure login area where clients could access their finished videos permanently, always online, always available. And after years on Wix, the owner needed to migrate to WordPress and be trained to maintain and evolve the site independently without ongoing agency reliance.

The Solution
One Site. Two Experiences. A Portal That Keeps Clients Coming Back.
We built a custom website from the ground up — designed to make an immediate visual impact in a market where the quality of the work is judged before a single word is read. The site was architectured around two distinct audience pathways: a wedding experience built around emotion, visual storytelling, and personal connection; and a corporate experience built around credibility, professionalism, and demonstrated capability. Both live under the same brand and navigation, but each speaks directly to the person it is meant to reach.
A custom client portal was built into the site — a secure login area where each client can access their finished videos, stored online permanently. No links that expire. No files sent via email and lost. Just a private, always-on space where every client’s content lives as long as they need it. The site was built on WordPress, and the owner was trained to manage and evolve it independently — migrating off Wix for good and taking full control of the platform without ongoing agency support.
The Result
A Visual Business With a Website That Finally Matches the Quality of the Work.
Inception Video now has a custom website that does what a website for a visual business should do — makes an immediate impression, speaks clearly to two very different audiences, and converts visitors into enquiries. The dual-audience architecture means wedding and corporate leads both land on an experience built specifically for them, with no compromise between the two.
The client portal adds a layer of ongoing value that extends the client relationship well beyond delivery — videos stored permanently online, accessible whenever a client needs them. The owner is no longer dependent on a platform they could not control: they are running WordPress, managing the site themselves, and continuing to evolve it with confidence. Years of neglect, reversed in a single project.
