At Perth Digital Edge, we are looking for a talented and creative Videographer to join our team and bring powerful visual storytelling to life. This role is critical in producing high-quality video content that engages audiences, enhances brand messaging, and drives results.

What Does a Videographer Do?
A Videographer is responsible for planning, shooting, and editing videos that tell compelling stories, evoke emotions, and deliver on client objectives. At Perth Digital Edge, our Videographers work on a variety of projects, including promotional videos, product showcases, event coverage, and branded content, ensuring every project is visually stunning and strategically effective.
This role blends creativity, technical skill, and collaboration to deliver videos that leave a lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
1. Video Production and Shooting
- Plan and execute high-quality video shoots for various purposes, including:
- Promotional Videos: Showcase products, services, or brand stories.
- Event Coverage: Capture key moments and highlights from live events.
- Social Media Content: Create short-form, engaging videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Corporate and Training Videos: Produce professional videos for internal and external use.
- Operate advanced video equipment, including cameras, drones, stabilisers, and lighting setups, to achieve the desired visual effects.
- Direct subjects, clients, and crew during shoots to ensure a smooth and effective production process.
2. Pre-Production Planning
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project objectives and creative direction.
- Develop storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules to guide the video creation process.
- Scout and prepare locations, ensuring all technical and logistical requirements are met.
3. Post-Production and Editing
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished final products using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Enhance video quality with colour grading, sound design, motion graphics, and special effects.
- Ensure final videos meet technical specifications, brand guidelines, and client expectations.
4. Equipment Management
- Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot video equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working condition.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video production tools and technologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Recommend and invest in new gear as needed to stay ahead in the industry.
5. Trend Monitoring and Innovation
- Stay informed about emerging trends in video production, formats, and storytelling techniques.
- Experiment with new approaches and styles to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Research competitors and industry leaders to identify opportunities for creative differentiation.
6. Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with designers, marketers, and content creators to align video content with overall campaign goals.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to incorporate feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Provide input on creative concepts and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
7. Analytics and Performance Evaluation
- Monitor the performance of video content across platforms to assess audience engagement and effectiveness.
- Use insights to refine future projects and improve video strategies.
- Prepare performance reports for clients and internal teams.
Skills and Qualifications We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ Years of Professional Experience: Proven track record in videography, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects and styles.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in operating professional-grade video equipment, including cameras, drones, stabilisers, and lighting setups.
- Post-Production Skills: Advanced knowledge of video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Creative Vision: Ability to conceptualise and execute visually compelling stories that align with brand objectives.

To perform the duties of the role effectively, the following certifications are required. Employment is conditional upon holding these qualifications prior to your start date:
