About Discover Wanneroo
Putting Wanneroo on the Digital Map
Discover Wanneroo is a City of Wanneroo initiative designed to promote the region’s local attractions, events, and businesses to visitors and residents alike. From the Yanchep Lagoon to the Wanneroo Raceway, the platform serves as the digital front door for everything the area has to offer. The existing site was not doing justice to the destination or the community it represented, and the City engaged us to change that.

The Challenge
A Region Worth Discovering. A Site That Wasn't Helping.
The Discover Wanneroo platform needed to serve a wide range of audiences — tourists, locals, event-goers, and business visitors — each arriving with different needs and looking for different content. The existing site lacked the visual identity and navigational clarity to guide these users effectively from discovery through to destination and business detail pages.
As a local government contract, the project also required careful collaboration with multiple external stakeholders, including City of Wanneroo representatives, local business operators, and attraction partners. Delivering a cohesive result while managing competing priorities and sign-off processes was a core part of what made this project complex.

The Solution
A Creative Build That Brought the Region to Life
We led the creative direction and full web build for Discover Wanneroo, designing a visual identity and site structure that could serve multiple audience types while staying true to the region’s character. Every page was built with clear navigation paths from discovery content through to attraction and business detail pages.
Collaboration with external stakeholders was managed throughout the build — from initial briefing and content gathering through to iterative reviews and final sign-off — ensuring delivery on time without compromising on quality.
The Result
26% More Traffic to a Region Worth Exploring.
Following launch, Discover Wanneroo saw a 26% increase in traffic to destination and business pages. Clearer navigation paths from discovery content into attraction and listing detail pages improved engagement throughout the site, with users spending more time exploring the region’s offerings.
The project demonstrated that local government digital work, done well, has real commercial impact for the businesses and attractions it promotes. Delivering a complex multi-stakeholder build on time and to a high creative standard was a result the whole team was proud of.
